All of these lists are primarily intended for the following things:

Technical Discussion

Topics ranging from actual code implementation and fixes to network and host configuration would fall in this category.

EVI Announcements

Any time that EVI has significant news about a product (e.g. the release of a new version), a general announcement would be made to the list.

Operational Support

Anything to do with actually using the product on a day to day basis. "Normal" software installation and end-user questions.

At present, the following products are supported on PRIVATE mailing lists. To subscribe to a list, please send an email message containing the name of the list(s) you wish to join, your name, your company, and the email address(es) you wish to have subscribed to the EVI webmaster at webmaster@e-visions.com

Plant Integrated Computer System - PICS

Everything to do with the ongoing PICS development and installation at Florida Power Corp's Crystal River Unit #3. If enough interest develops from other EVI PICS customers (you know who you are) we will consider either (a) adding other customers to this list (FPC will be allowed to veto this) and/or (b) creating a new list for other PICS installations.

Console Logging Software - PC-LOG

Any and all PC-LOG customers are welcome here. Just remember: PC-LOG has been customized in many different ways for different customers, so a feature that one person asks about might not be available elsewhere.

MODCOMP Routing Node - MRN

While all MRN users are welcome here, this list is primarily dedicated to MRN-200 (and MRN-250) users. The MRN-200 connects a MODCOMP to a TCP/IP network and can (with additional software on the MODCOMP) also provide FTP services to enable MODCOMP clients to access internet FTP sites and/or to enable remote users to access MODCOMP files using standard FTP clients.
