MolyTek Line Recorder

MtHist - Scanner & History Recorder

Responsible for reading the actual input signals (scanning); recording scanned values to the historical file; and transmitting scanned values to either PICS (via MtPics) or to a slave copy of MtHist. MtHist also starts MtDisp when it is configured to do so, and broadcasts internal Windows messages indicating updates to the historical data file.

MtHist operates in either MASTER mode, where it is directly responsible for scanning data from the hardware or SLAVE mode, where data is delivered from a master via a serial communication link.

MtDisp - Live & Historical Display

Replaces the physical chart recorder in the original MolyTek system, MtDisp uses a full screen, color display to plot the values being scanned by MtHist. MtDisp is also capable of displaying any historical data still contained within the historical data file.  Some of the user inputs in MtDisp are actually set to and processed by MtHist, for example, the thumb-wheel adjustments and unit/cell selection.

MtPics - Line Recorder PICS Interface

Provides a PICS Time/Date signal for all of the MtHist data providers and receives scanned MolyTek data from the MtHist data providers. Data that is received is provided to the PICS Real Time Data system for use anywhere in PICS.

MtDLL

Shared by MtHist and MtDisp, this DLL provide common functions for interacting with the MolyTek history file.
