The MUX Static Data Server (MUXSDB) provides specialized (and simplified) access to the PICS databases for the 8800 data collection systems. MUXSDB collects all of the relevent data for each 8800 and provides it across the network as the 8800s request it. MUXSDB also monitors the static database for online updates, and also makes those available to the 8800s upon request.
